The studio is based in Alderley Edge but the work runs across the wider South Manchester and Cheshire belt. That stretch of the country is unusually rich in independent businesses. The villages along the A538 and the A34, the resurgent town centres in Altrincham and Macclesfield, the city of Chester out west, the South Manchester suburbs of Didsbury and Hale, the heritage market town of Knutsford. Each one has a different character and a different buyer, and each one has its own set of independent operators serving it.
We made a deliberate choice early on to know this region well rather than serve a wider patch shallowly. There is enough indie business density inside a thirty-mile radius of Alderley Edge to fill years of good work, and the businesses doing it well already know each other, the cafés the salons go to, the photographers the restaurants book, the print shops the boutiques use. That web of recommendation runs faster when the studio behind a brand can speak to the specific town the business sits in, rather than treating Cheshire as a generic field.
